Alerts on your phone, no app needed
Alerts now arrive as notifications on your phone or computer, straight from the browser, with email as a backup.
A price alert is only useful if it reaches you while the fare is still there. So Wingman now sends real notifications, the kind apps send, straight from the browser: on Android, Windows and macOS, and on iPhone once you add Wingman to your Home Screen.
- Where a browser can install Wingman in one tap, there's a button for it. Where it can't, a short guide shows how.
- If notifications were blocked, Wingman shows how to allow them again and finishes the setup by itself.
- Email works too, for anyone who'd rather read alerts there.
Quiet until it matters
A watcher that buzzes all day gets muted, so Wingman holds back:
- A price has to fall by more than 1 %. Currency rounding doesn't count.
- If a deal drops out of one search, Wingman waits three checks before it believes the price went up, so a flight that briefly vanishes doesn't ping you twice.
- A flexible trip stays silent until every departure day has been searched once, then sends one summary.
- If searches stop working, you hear about it once, and once more when they work again.
